Game Twin

A save state for everything around the game.

What is Game Twin?

Getting through a game means a walkthrough at hand when you're stuck. Going for 100% adds a collectible map, a missables list and a checklist of your own, all open at once. Then you put the game down for a week, or switch to something else, and it all scatters: the guide tab is closed, the map is a search away again, your notes are lost among every other note.

Game Twin is a second-screen companion app for Android that gives every game its own Vault. It finds the guides and maps for you, organizes everything with next to no effort, and keeps every saved copy readable offline. Switch games and your whole workspace switches with you, exactly where you left off.

Free and no-ads, always. If it earns a spot on your handheld: [ SUPPORT ]

Features

Library

Knows what you're playing. It picks up your recent games from ES-DE, Cocoon, RetroArch, RetroAchievements and Steam. Pick a game and the entire workspace switches to it.

  • Links the cover art, manuals and images already on your device instead of copying them, so it stays storage efficient.
  • Works offline and exports to another device, so a collection you build is never stuck in one place.
  • Syncs across devices through Syncthing or similar, which makes docking a handheld painless.
  • Tons of customization to display your whole library your way.

Guides

One tap to the best guide for the game, from StrategyWiki, GameFAQs, IGN, Neoseeker and Steam Community.

  • Where a series has a better home than the general sites, Game Twin sends you there instead: Metroid to Omega Metroid, Zelda to Zelda Dungeon, Pokémon to Bulbapedia, Fire Emblem to Fire Emblem WoD, curated title by title rather than guessed from a search.
  • Reader mode gives a clean, customizable, offline read and remembers where you left off.
  • PDF, TXT, EPUB, HTML and MHT are all supported.
  • Long text guides get smart formatting: the body text scales up while ASCII art keeps its shape. Bookmarks and automatic table of contents detection keep navigation quick.
  • Code wheels for DOS, C64 and Amiga era games are one tap away, interactive in their own viewer.

Images

One tap to the best maps and reference images for the game, from VGMaps, from the series sites that publish their own, or from web image search, saved in seconds.

  • Capture screenshots straight into the game's Vault.
  • Add your own markers to any image.
  • Pan and zoom are remembered, so a map opens exactly as you left it.

Achievements

RetroAchievements and Steam in one view, with missable and unlocked filters, offline caching and per-achievement web search.

  • Replays your RetroAchievements unlocks as an animated timeline, so a long run plays back in the order it actually happened.
  • Puts other players on that same timeline to compare, so you can see who pulled ahead where, and when.

Checklists

Collectibles, side quests and boss strategies, all colour-tagged, reorderable, searchable, importable from markdown.

Browser

A built-in multi-tab browser with reader mode and tracker blocking; tabs are remembered per game.

  • The game's name is appended to your searches automatically, so you find the right thing on the first try.
  • Create search templates to run the lookups you repeat every session in one tap.

AI

Ask a question about the exact spot you're stuck on. Game Twin can grab a screenshot of the top screen and work out what to do from there, and one-tap templates ("What should I do here?") turn two button presses into a tailored answer. Bring your own Gemini API key, so it stays your key and your calls.

Apps

Add emulators and useful apps to your device fast, by direct install or through Obtainium. Game Twin organizes your emulators and apps to make the most of the bottom screen.
